At Barnowls Out of School Club we aim to provide a stimulating environment for all children to explore the Early Years Foundation Stage, whilst working alongside Aston Clinton School.

The Barnowls Out of School Club provides a fun environment for children to relax and play, giving parents the opportunity to have 'wrap around' child care before and after school.

A much needed service in the local area, Barnowls Out of School Club has been a great success since opening in September 2011.

Children take part in a wide range of activities covering all areas of learning using a range of resources that mostly supports their learning and development. The setting demonstrates a good capacity for continuous improvement. Staff have attended a variety of courses since registration to update their own knowledge and the setting has established its own unique identity within the school community and local area.”

In line with Aston Clinton School term time, we offer up to 45 places a day for children aged four to eleven years.

Breakfast club - 7.30am - 8.45am, toast and light refreshments provided. £7.50 per session

Afterschool club - 3.15pm - 6.00pm, a light snack and refreshments provided. £16.00 per session

Wraparound - (same day care) £21.00 per day

Our Staff:

Tanya Dawson - Manager

Tanya gained her Level 3 in Childcare and Education in 2012. Tanya spent some of her time as a student training at Barnowls Nursery. After leaving college Tanya worked part time in a local pre-school and part time at Barnowls Nursery. In November 2013 Tanya joined the Barnowls team full time sharing her time between the nursery and out of school club. Tanya holds an Early Years First Aid Certificate, Food Hygiene Certificate and is the setting's Designated Safeguarding Lead. Tanya was promoted to Deputy Manager in 2015 and Manager in 2024.

Georgina Holloway - Senior Playworker

Georgina has worked at Barnowls since 2023. She has since been promoted to Senior Playworker in 2025. Georgina is Level 3 First Aid trained, holds a Food Hygiene Certificate and is Safeguard trained. Georgina has lots of experience working with children of all ages.

Leah Cruse - Playworker

Leah has worked at Barnowls since 2024. Leah studied Performing Arts at college where she gained her diploma. Leah is Level 3 First Aid trained and holds a Food Hygiene Certificate. Leah is also safeguard trained.

Evie Parr - Playworker

Evie joined Barnowls in 2025. Evie is currently training to become a Primary School Teacher at university alongside her job at Barnowls. Evie is Level 3 First Aid trained, holds a Food Hygiene Certificate and is Safeguard trained. Evie worked within Aston Clinton School as a Teaching Assistant before joining Barnowls.

Theresa Sayer - Play Worker

Theresa completed her Level 3 childcare qualification as a student at Barnowls Nursery in 2012 which lead to full time employment. Theresa holds an Early Years First Aid Certificate and Epipen training and a Food Hygiene Certificate. Theresa works at Out Of School Club covering when needed and also helps to run Holiday Clubs.
